Conditional Use Approval
1835 Old Gulph Road, Pear Grove,Class 1, Villanova — 2011-CU-23 A proposal to convert an existing window on the front elevation of the carriage house to a door and to add a new window on the rear elevation. The applicant obtained conditional use approval in December 2011 to convert the carriage house into a winery subject to a condition that any future changes to the building be reviewed by the Historical Commission.
324 Avon Road,Bryn Mawr, Class 2 — 2012-R-20 A proposal to add a new enclosed entry porch on the front elevation, convert the existing three car garage into a family room by removing the overhead doors and replacing them with two sets of French doors, add a new covered porch at the rear of the new family room, addition of a bay window at the gable end of the new family room, and replacement of an existing sliding glass door at the breakfast room. The applicant also proposes to install a new in-ground pool, pathways, low walls and an outdoor fireplace on the property. These improvements are presented as information only since they do not conceal any portion of the existing historic resources.
6 Lancaster Avenue, Palmer Theological Seminary,Wynnewood, Class 1 — 2012-CU-19 A conditional use request to convert the former Lee Chapel into professional offices. The removal of an existing window well is the only exterior change to the building.
714 Morris Avenue,Bryn Mawr — 2012-R-16 A request to allow the existing date stone to remain and be covered by a recently approved addition. The Commission’s recommendation was to relocate the date stone to a new location at the owner’s discretion either to a lower location on the front or back of the original house..
